2017 rains began in January and increased in February. e wet weather continued on and by June the ground was soaked. Flood conditions were evident in several vineyard locations. e vineyards seemed to welcome the showers since the previous 5 years were hard drought. Despite all the soaking, harvest was down about 25% from the previous year.
Striking beautiful crimson-deep ruby color. As the bouquet develops in the glass, flavors of black cherry, chocolate, and black pepper come together nicely. This wine is well balanced and a terrific value.
