Fresh scents and flavors of ripe apples and honeydew melon. Balanced, dry and crisp with a pleasing herbal finish.
Stainless steel fermentation at cool temperatures captures the freshest and fruitiest essences of the chardonnay grape. Tropical overtones of pineapple and citrus are underscored with subtle nuances of apple and apricot. The crisp finish is due to refreshing acidity and not allowing malo-lactic fermentation. Varietal Blend: 91% Chardonnay, 9% Symphony
2016 was a drought year and even though yields were low, fruit intensity was magnified in the grapes. Drought conditions produced grapes with smaller than normal berries. This resulted in wine with intense varietal character.
These flavorful Chardonnay grapes are grown in our vineyards in the San Joaquin Valley.
