Laurier Vineyards
Chardonnay
Vineyard Notes
2018 was a very good vintage. The vines responded well to moderate rainfall in winter and just coming off years of drought. The season brought dry, warm weather producing grapes full of flavor and balance.
Winemaker Notes
This Chardonnay is very characteristic of the cool Carneros growing region. The flavors are green apple, floral, and with a hint of mint and minerality. The finish is lean and crisp where moderate acidity refreshes the palate.
Food Pairing Suggestions
The subtleties of flavors in this wine indicate it will not compete with cuisine but will pair easily with many dishes. We recommend poached see bass, pasta primavera, fried chicken, and omelettes with cheese, spinach and mushrooms.
